A simple square building, that started life as the church hall transitions into the worship space for the site.
A warm and colorful interior intended to emulate the sensuous curvature of a coconut shell without the flesh. It is a gesture that is common across the pacific, where the shell is symbolic of generosity and love.
The building speaks volumes of how a community can come together and collectively define a vision for their faith.
The people of Tonga in Christchurch now have a place that they can call home.
